ANU AND ASH

Anu and Ash (Ashwin) met through music. While working on productions together, they found harmony that has blossomed into a warm and loving marriage.

Their common love of music began for both at an early age. Ashwin’s deep roots in Indian classical music trace to his youth when he first began playing classical piano and violin. He now maintains Indian Raga fellowship status, has his own music school – Studio!, and is lead keyboardist for many local bands. He has original compositions, including the instrumental mixtape “Elements”. He made his first major television debut in Episode 3 of Disney’s Ms. Marvel as the keyboardist for the miniseries’ band, Brown Jovi.

Anu has over two decades of operatic and musical theater training. She was National Champion for the Schmidt Foundation of Classical Arts, Indian Raga Fellow, Governor’s Honors for Vocal Performance, and Atlanta’s 2013 Indian Idol. She delivered a standout performance as Princess Jasmine in a captivating rendition of the musical Aladdin at Disney Springs in Orlando. She now effortlessly navigates contemporary pop, classical, R&B, and Indian genres in a multitude of languages.

Anu & Ash recently released their first album in December 2024!

About our featured artists:

Gurinder specializes in Hindustani and Bollywood music. His global presence includes concerts alongside Bollywood luminaries such as Sudesh Bhosale, Sadhana Sargam, Javed Akhtar, Bappi Lahiri, and Monali Thakur. A disciple of the renowned Sitar player Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan, Gurinder founded the Epic Lessons Music Academy, an online virtual academy dedicated to music instrument training.

Amit Narayan’s rhythmic journey originated in the heart of Atlanta. Exposed to drums through his father’s performances, he embraced this passion in childhood and later expanded into mridangam, dhol, and various Indian instruments. His musical synergy with Ashwin formed the foundation of their duo group, Narwin Theory, which captivated audiences. Beyond the stage, their friendship endures, fueling ongoing collaborations in the realm of music.

King Ai began playing the cello in primary school and has since developed a deep passion for music. He has been a member of the Taipei Medical University Orchestra and the Truth Church Orchestra. In 2017, King organized a family concert that featured both Western and Eastern music, performing for an audience of 400 before moving to the U.S. to study abroad. King is skilled at improvising and playing by ear, and he has performed at multiple wedding events. Currently, he continues to share his musical talents by playing the cello for Intown Community Church and Journey Church in Atlanta.

Keyera’s love for music dates back as far as she can remember, but it truly took flight when she auditioned for her middle school talent show, bringing down the house with a classic Whitney Houston song. A seasoned performer, she honed her craft at her high school performing arts program before earning her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from the University of Georgia. Over the years, she has showcased her talents in choirs, solo recitals, and as a member of an all-female a cappella group.
