Bird and Byron are an indie rock and soul duo based out of Nashville, TN. After graduating college, the two childhood friends joined forces and decided to make their dreams a reality.
After starting their careers in Los Angeles, California, Blake (Bird) and Nick (Byron) moved back to Columbus once the global pandemic had begun. While in LA, they released their first four singles.
The duo decided to move down to Nashville, TN in May 2022. Since then, they have jelled into music city quickly and found fast success. Following the move, they have hit the road on their first multi city tour, released their second EP, hit over 160k+ monthly listeners on Spotify, amassed over 94k+ followers on Tik Tok, grown to over 12k+ followers on Instagram, landed sync opportunities in film and TV, and completed work on their debut album, which came out July 14th 2023.
Since the release of their debut album, the band supported Durand Jones on a multi-city tour in the Fall of 2023 and then opened for Old Crow Medicine Show in Columbus, Ohio at the top of 2024.
They will embark on their debut headlining tour on June 6th, with shows scattered across southern and midwestern states. The tour will support the success of their debut album, their 2022 single “By My Side”, and their brand new EP recorded at the Nashville studio ‘Welcome to 1979’, set to be released in the Spring / Summer of 2024.
The sky is the limit for the duo, and they are excited to see where they will go.
Kenny Sharp is a singer-songwriter whose genre-bending sound has been dubbed "Brown Liquor Music." Drawing from Soul, Blues, Americana, Hip-Hop, Pop, and Rock influences, he effortlessly weaves together these disparate styles with a powerful vocal performance that's sure to leave you in awe. Born in Montgomery, Alabama to two Air Force officers, Kenny's upbringing was defined by frequent moves and new experiences. In 2021, Citizen Cope invited Kenny to open for him at multiple shows at NYC's City Winery. Also in 2021, Kenny caught the attention of former President Barack Obama, who listed song "Witchoo" as one of his favorite tracks of the year. The song, co-written by Kenny with Durand Jones and the Indications, is a testament to Kenny's songwriting prowessand his ability to craft unforgettable melodies.
