EAT Detroit is a one-night-only foodie experience and fundraiser where you tour our city’s top restaurants while wearing an official wristband, and no bill ever arrives.

Pick a starting restaurant for general admission or upgrade to VIP for an exclusive reception at Michigan Central Station with dining from Baobab Fare, Freya, and Bar Pigalle and return there for a dessert party with featured offerings from Warda, Chartreuse, Yellow Light Donuts, MK Cannelle, and more. Dining also includes a free water ice dessert at the Detroit Water Ice Factory, whose profits also support the work of SAY Detroit. Walk between restaurants, or hop on shuttle buses for longer distances between Downtown, Midtown and Corktown clusters. Use our official app to plan your night before you arrive, including which restaurants you want to visit.

Get ready for food and fun, with all proceeds to benefit SAY Detroit’s mission to provide pathways to success for Detroiters in need as we celebrate 20 years of serving 4,000 people each year with learning, health care, and housing programs that have changed lives for the better.

EAT Detroit is a volunteer-powered event modeled (with permission!) after World Central Kitchen’s Dine-N-Dash from chef José Andrés.

More details can be found at www.eatdetroit.info

***Most attendees are able to visit 6 - 8 restaurants comfortably***

What ticket should I get?

VIP attendees experience the grandeur of Detroit’s iconic Michigan Central, in two exclusive receptions.

  • In an exclusive early dining experience by Baobab Fare, Freya, and Bar Pigalle, VIP patrons will join SAY Detroit founder Mitch Albom and fellow guests at a reception at 5 p.m. at the newly restored and opulent Grand Hall.
  • Check in and get your wristband at the reception.
  • The VIP experience returns to Michigan Central to end your night in style: Starting at 8:30 p.m., enjoy a final course of desserts from Warda Pâtisserie, Chartreuse Kitchen & Cocktails, Yellow Light Donuts, MK Cannelle, and more.
  • Entertainment and special parting gifts!

Learn more about the VIP experience at https://eatdetroit.info/vip.php

General Admission (GA) attendees purchase a ticket by choosing their starting restaurant. This is where you check in at 5:30 p.m. with your ticket, receive a wristband and event map, and dine at first.

Are your shuttles ADA-accessible? Are the restaurants?

The event requires walking from restaurant to restaurant within “clusters,” with shuttles providing cluster-to-cluster transportation only. Due to a high volume of rentals for various events, we have found a limited availability of private shuttles overall.

If you or anyone in your party requires an ADA-accessible van with adjustable seating for a mobility device (wheelchair or scooter), please indicate “YES” at the time of purchase and contact us immediately at eat@saydetroit.org. A representative from EAT Detroit will follow up directly for details and determine accommodation options.
