Mini Trees is the solo project of LA-based songwriter Lexi Vega, whose intimate blend of indie
and alt pop explores the tension between self-doubt and persistence. Her recent singles unravel
cycles of disappointment and growth, emotional loops that echo in both personal relationships
and her journey through the music industry.
On “Spinning,” Vega captures the quiet dread of chasing something uncertain, singing, “still
getting older while I’m going nowhere”, a line that distills the fear of running out of time without
anything to show for it. “Close” flips the lens outward, turning frustration into clarity as she
confronts an industry that repeatedly says, “you almost would’ve made it.” And on “Hollow,” she
reflects on being the one who pulls away, tracing the aftermath of emotional unavailability with
unflinching honesty.
Now working toward her first independently released full-length album, Mini Trees continues to
carve out space on her own terms, creating music that lives in the in-between, where doubt and
devotion quietly coexist.
