Event Description

Michael Logen- is a Grammy-Winning, Multi-Platinum-Selling songwriter and recording artist, based in Nashville, Tennessee with deep roots in Americana, folk, and indie music

He grew up in the small river-town of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, where he was raised in a musical family listening to Johnny Cash, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Simon, Hank Williams and, of course, Bob Dylan.

As a songwriter, Logen has written songs for artists like Kelly Clarkson, Jonny Lang, Marc Broussard, Mat Kearney, Brandon Heath, The Greencards, Paul Carrack, Will Hoge, Ashley Monroe and Sister Hazel. His co-write “Breaking Your Own Heart” appears on Kelly Clarkson’s platinum-selling, Grammy-winning album Stronger.

His music has also been featured extensively in TV shows like Suits, Nashville, Parenthood, The Fosters, One Tree Hill, The Hills, Virgin River and Heartland.

Rolling Stone praised his most recent collab w/ Jennifer Hanson called, "Here's To Hoping", saying "Recommended listening for anyone feeling anxious right now".

As a performing artist, Logen has released multiple records, including the critically regarded Americana/folk album New Medicine, which emphasizes introspective songwriting and acoustic textures and includes collaborations with artists such as Kim Richey, Liz Longley, and Ruby Amanfu. He has toured internationally, playing shows across the continental United States and in countries like the UK, Denmark, The Netherlands, France, and Spain, and has opened for renowned musicians like John Hiatt, John Legend, India.Arie, Jonny Lang, Sarah Jarosz and Mat Kearney.

Logen’s creative approach has often involved retreating to nature — such as cabins in the Tennessee mountains — to write and reflect, seeking space away from noise to dive deep into his artistry.  While on tour in Europe, he wrote a crowd-favorite, "Cannonball Embrace" all on the long train ride from Rome to Munich.

His work continues to bridge songwriting for others with his own artistic voice, making him a respected figure in both the Nashville songwriting community and the broader Americana/folk scene.
